A great opportunity for keen amateur golfers to take part in a "friendly" but challenging competition. Stroke Play. Players are grouped by categories and alternately play the 3 golf courses.
Rules:
Competition Medal format within each category – 54 holes.
Prizes will be awarded on the final net and gross scores for the men’s and ladies competition within each category

The Old Course - the name saying it all. Situated in the heart of the Vilamoura seaside resort a mere 20-minute drive from Faro airport, this Frank Pennink designed parkland style layout is one of the oldest in the region and renowned all over the golfing world. Often described as the Grande Dame of Algarve courses, it meanders throughout impressive pinetrees - the principal hazard - over gently undulating natural terrain.|In addition to raising the Vilamoura Old Course to new heights of quality, an attractive new clubhouse and adjacent putting green were also built at that time. Dom Pedro Pinhal Golf Course was the second golf course built in Vilamoura. Several refinements were incorporated over the years. It is typified by rolling parkland terrain covered with numerous umbrella and Atlantic pines that line many of the fairways and a few even stand out on fairways or near greens.|Ponds and a stream come into play on five holes but are not serious threats to above-average golfers. To keep up with modern technical advances in clubs and balls, several holes have recently been lengthened. The clubhouse was completely renovated and modernized at the turn of the millennium and from the large verandah, one can enjoy a panoramic view over the excellent driving range and practice facilities. Dom Pedro Millennium Golf Course is surely one of the most pleasant golf courses ever built in Portugal, that is why as become the most popular golf course in Vilamoura. This is especially due to its excellent positioning in the surrounding landscape, to the investment made in forestation and landscaping, and to the quality and diversity of the golf course itself, resulting from the extreme care taken in its design and building.
