Enjoyed the golf course, it was in good condition after all the rain, it was long and we were glad to have a buggy. There was no food available afterwards which was disappointing, especially for the cost of the day out.

The course was generally in good condition, the greens has been recently spiked and were a bit slow as a result. The course Is very tight in places but quite short, so not unplayable but it is a tough challenge in places. Some of the greens are very tough to hit, with unforgiving surrounds. Not my personal favourite layout but still enjoyable. Disappointing that the kitchen was closed for the day. Not sure if that is a one off or regular, but was expecting lunch at the club and had to go elsewhere.

We came with good expectations after four days of no rain and were very disappointed to find that fairways were not cut and we are playing like in semi rough on first nine and then hole 16 and 18 on second nine. This should not be offered on a course of this standard, no roll and sometimes problem to find your ball on fairway. Greens are fine.

Really friendly in reception and the starter went out of his way to be helpful. The course was in good condition, the best greens we played on all week. The waiter who dealt with us after our round was vey friendly. Pace of play was fine. In respect of Palmares on the Thursday, we were paired with a couple who took at least 20 shots to get to every green and then insisted on putting out ! The manager at Palmares failed to show after my complaint the day before, the course bunkers still had not been maintained and the washed out sand damage by the rain was still evident. How they maintain there No 2 rating in the Algarve is baffling. Alto was the complete opposite .

Excellent welcome from the Receptionist, as a 2 Ball we managed to get out slightly earlier than our Tee time and got around in 2 hrs 30 mins.Course in pretty good condition, greens good. All round good experience

One to play if you are staying in Alvor and don’t want to travel to play better courses. Have played other Pestana courses, Pinta, Gramacho and Silves and they are all much better than this! Probably didn’t help they appeared to be in middle of maintenance on greens. Wont be in a hurry to return.

Very helpful in the golf shop in both the welcome and agreeing to a discount for the buggy for our third player. Course itself was disappointing compared to previous experience of it. Many fairways were having work carried out on them but we were not given any prior notice about this.

The course has been a good test of golf in the past Unfortunately when we played it had been tyned with a lot of sand on greens/fairways. I would not recommend playing early June. The 10 Euro difference is not worth it , other Pestana courses are better this time of year

I have not played Alto for about 4 years, it has improved immensely and I would highly recommend to any golfers, greens are perfect also Fairways & Tee boxes, I enjoyed my game, playing with a couple on Holidays from Bournemouth in England. This Golf course has some lovely features.

The course was in very good ondition, an attractive but shortish layout. My only criticism was that us as a two ball got stuck behind a four ball for the last seven holes do progress was painfully slow.There was no marshalls going around to Dodd play up. A map of the 18 hole layout on the scorecard would be helpful, more so at the other Pestaba golf courses in the area rather than Altos.

Didn't enjoy this course since it has been changed in layout. Very long par 4s that were hard to reach in 2 good shots!! Very rough grass even on fairways. Disappointing as there has been a lot of work done by pestana to bring this course up to a good standard.

We did actually get out at 10.30am because we were a two ball and would have been sandwiched between two four balls. Course condition good.
