Receptionist and restaurant were OK. The course ( only par 3) is rather challenging. Now somewhat extra due to heavy rainfail the days before. Hole 2 is in need of some pruning at the narrow pass.

Sadly this is the worst course we've played in Portugal. No more than a pitch n put 9-hole course in OK condition but holes too close to one another making it dangerous, especially with so many novice players on the course. Pace of play painfully slow.

I liked the layout of the course, greens were good but it is a par 3 course so always going to be slightly compromised

Lovely little small course but unfortunately it gets a little bit too busy when stag nights turn up and they’re doing five balls could do with a Marshall speeding up play

We've stayed at Balaia 7 or 8 times previously and like to use the practice facilities, plus the course is a good test or iron/wedge skills, however this time we found the driving range was almost unusable, partially closed and the rest had no grass, the range balls were disgusting, absolutely filthy and ancient, the greens were in awful condition, everything really looked like it was going down hill. Also the etiquette of some of the guests was dreadful. Additionally the service at the club house was awful, one day we actually walked away after having waited over quarter of an hour to be served, with no other clients in there.

Very nice course, though a little crowded at the time I tee'd off (1300).
Much trickier than the par 54 suggests.
Clubs hired at the club could be of a better standard and better maintained.

Truly wonderful golf course, excellent customer service, facilities, and comfort zone. Some truly awesome holes, the greens were exceptional. And only a five minute walk from our holiday accommodation at Balaia holiday village.

Some very interesting holes, which challenge your short game.
During the round, I realised I had left my golf bag open and discovered my wallet was missing. However my panic was short lived, as when returning to the clubhouse I discovered a fellow player had found my wallet and returned it with all its contents to the bar. My sincere thanks to a very honest individual as it allowed us to continue our holiday,without any disruption and inconvenience
