Quinta do Lago South
Quinta do Lago South Golf Course, favourite of many tour players, offers the possibility to hit the greens in regulation in several ways. However, each hole has one easy route and the player who sees this, and has the skill to follow the designer's intention, and produce sub-par figures. An anti-clockwise loop, it favours the draw shot.|This course favours the long hitter, but requires the player to pick a particular route to score well. Although both anti-clockwise loops, the first nine favours a draw, while the second favours a fade from the tee. It is an enjoyable experience for players of all standards. News - Quinta do Lago South re open

In regards to the closure of Quinta do Lago South Course, we would like to inform all our guests that due to the unexpected torrencial rain last week, works will be delayed on this golf course and therefore, they are forced to postpond the reopening of the Quinta do Lago South golf course.
Due to these circunstances, Quinta South will reopen now on the 9th of January 2021.
All the reservations will be moved to Quinta North and Laranjal, and you will be contacted by our reservations team to be informed of the change.

Fantastic golf course. Helpful staff. Unfortunately windy was gusting up to 60 kmph. With the fast greens they were almost unplayable. But I would love to play again.

One word - fantastic. I've played it many many times and it is always immaculate. Such a great test of golf. We tee'd off as the sun came up at 7.36am and played a quick first 9 holes, but then found ourselves behind the back of a club competition and the next nine holes took 2.5hrs. The people in front of us were terrible and crazy slow. No respect for the people behind. It was actually a disgraceful way to conduct yourself, but that isn't the clubs fault.

The day didn't start as well as we'd hoped as the course didn't have our booking but we're very accommodating and got us out at 7:28, 20 minutes early, which made it a bit of a rush but at least we got to play. The course was superb but unfortunately due to the recent rain buggies had to stay on the paths which made our round longer than it needed to be.

The course overall was in a not so good condition. The greens ran very different and had a lot of divots.

Lovely course but the round took 5 1/2 hours, hence the low rating. We waited on every hole from the second. We only saw a Marshall on the 16th and he wasn’t interested. Spoiled the game.

Too many people on the course. They start at hole 1 & 10. As you finish on 9 and go to 10, 3 flights were waiting to tee off. This kept on being the case for the whole back 9. The round took 4:15 (2 single hcp players)

*Buggy Recommended - If Essential
*Water hazards - Mainly seeable on the back 9, but beware the 3rd

*Signature Hole - 15th
*Comments - Excellent Traditional course, great value, always in demand
