Quinta do Lago South Golf Course, favourite of many tour players, offers the possibility to hit the greens in regulation in several ways. However, each hole has one easy route and the player who sees this, and has the skill to follow the designer's intention, and produce sub-par figures. An anti-clockwise loop, it favours the draw shot.|This course favours the long hitter, but requires the player to pick a particular route to score well. The course was magnificent with some really beautiful holes. Customer service at shop and golf area was very hospital. It was a pity we teed of at nearly 2pm as it was very slow and we finished in the dark. An incredibly large resort. Tee off early if you can. And the course signage from hole to hole could have been better.
News - Quinta do Lago South re open

In regards to the closure of Quinta do Lago South Course, we would like to inform all our guests that due to the unexpected torrencial rain last week, works will be delayed on this golf course and therefore, they are forced to postpond the reopening of the Quinta do Lago South golf course.
Due to these circunstances, Quinta South will reopen now on the 9th of January 2021.
All the reservations will be moved to Quinta North and Laranjal, and you will be contacted by our reservations team to be informed of the change.

Excellent service, as a mixed twosome we were paired with another couple and had a delightful round on an excellent course. Played in a little over 4 hours and didn't see anyone either ahead or behind us all day.

Fantastic golf course. Helpful staff. Unfortunately windy was gusting up to 60 kmph. With the fast greens they were almost unplayable. But I would love to play again.

One word - fantastic. I've played it many many times and it is always immaculate. Such a great test of golf. We tee'd off as the sun came up at 7.36am and played a quick first 9 holes, but then found ourselves behind the back of a club competition and the next nine holes took 2.5hrs. The people in front of us were terrible and crazy slow. No respect for the people behind. It was actually a disgraceful way to conduct yourself, but that isn't the clubs fault.
