Salgados Golf Course
Salgados Golf Course, situated in one of the best-known regions of the Algarve, between Albufeira and Armação de Pêra, and is already a 'postcard' of Portugual golf courses. In fact, the proximity of the sea and the variety of lakes make this a very unique and interesting test of golfing skills, different from other courses in the Algarve.|The 6,000 metre links, replete with water obstacles, is not very long, but the sea breeze obliges players to use all theyr skills to reach the greens. The accuracy of the drive is crucial for achieving good scores, thus making the course a pleasant experience, especially for technically-skilled player.

Only giving a 7 because course is under going lots of renovation and only found on the morning we could only play back 9 twice. Other than that as usual everything else was perfection.

Wegen Umbauarbeiten waren nur 9 Loch spielbar und die dann 2 x. Es gab weder eine Vorankündigung noch eine Mitteilung
vor dem Start an der Golf-Rezeption. Wir haben es von ortskundigen Mitspielern an Tee 1 erfahren.
Eine Servicekraft mit buggybar wollte uns an einer Engstelle am Abschlag zwingen zurück zu setzen, obwohl sie uns frühzeitig
gesehen hatte und wir schon aufgeteet hatten... unmögliches Verhalten...

We were disapointed with the recent maintenance work carried out on the course, the greens were heavily sanded, so not good, and club management did not advise of the course condition prior to our round

Only one problem. A fourball that stopped for lunch after 9 were slotted back in on 10 as we left the 9th green. They were very slow and wouldn’t let us through (we were a 2 ball). They were also very poor golfers. Poor decision to allow this. Marshall did nothing to resolve this even though I highlighted the problem. Bit of a shame.

*Buggy Recommended - If Essential
*Signature Hole - 6th par 5
*Water hazards - On every hole, being this courses theme
*Tree Lined - New Palm trees giving a nice feature
*Exposed - Yes, very. Wind direction playing a major part
*Dogleg - Winding round water
*Comments - a Unique golf course Good value
