Vale do Lobo Royal
Royal Golf Course at Vale do Lobo resort, has rolling fairways set amidst pine trees and beautiful lakes surrounded by wild flowers. Its features include the almost island green of the 9th and the famous 16th, with cliff-top carryover - one of the most celebrated golfing images in the world, which has become the veritable symbol of golf in the Algarve.|The Royal Golf Course was designed by top American golf architect Rocky Roquemore, based on original drawings made by Sir Henry Cotton. It was inaugurated in 1997.

also nice course, some not to nice people behind us. On 18 hole in twilight they alost hit us 2 times, trying to finish. Quite dangerous, I left de fairway.
We did not use the restaurant after the bad expeience. Will never go there again.

Course condition on some holes not great. Paths need attention.Slow play in front of us, limited marshalling to move people on. 2 groups on one 330 yard hole waiting on 3 4 balls ''taking their time'' in front bit disappointing as not experienced that before on this course.

Challenging course for 28 handicappers.Very well maintained. Love the buggies with GPS. which helps visual the hole, aids distance from hole A lot of water relative to what we are used to.o Slow play in front of us.

Good course. Some iconic holes. In decent condition, but I have seen it better. Again there seemed to be too many people booked in. Round took 5 hours to complete.

A quality course and clubhouse facility but not including buggy before 12 noon is silly given everywhere else does and distances between some holes (we were relieved we had paid for the buggies). Also greens absolutely covered in pitch marks. Not exclusive to this course but I don’t understand why they don’t give every player a pitch mark repairer - especially considering the number of players who hire clubs out here and won’t have their usual equipment.
Also we played early and were told before teeing off that we could get food and drink from vending machines at 9th as cart would be unlikely to be on the course while we were playing. When we got there it contained 3 beers and a can of monster. Not exactly what we wanted

*Comments - Excellent course, one of Algarve's best
