Benamor golf course was the first golf course to open east of the Algarve, and lies just outside the city of Tavira. This course offers a pleasant experience, to players of all standards. The golf course is undulating but not hilly. The views of the mountains to the North and the Atlantic Ocean to the South are stunning. The fairways of Bermuda Sahara and cool-season grasses provide good lies for wood and iron shots. Player's accuracy is particularly called upon by the architects' retention of as many of the old trees as feasible. These natural obstacles coupled with strategically placed bunkers and occasional water hazards make the course a worthwhile challenge. This golf course was selected as the Best Maintained Course in 2001 by the Portuguese Golf Federation. (...)
Quinta da Ria Golf Course was the first of two 18-hole golf courses in a spectacular location on the coast of the eastern Algarve, known locally as 'Sotavento'. Quinta da Ria, situated in the Ria Formosa Nature Reserve, has already been described by experienced golfers as the most breathtaking golf course in the Region. In fact, there will be no houses, or villas, or apartments to distract you from your game: just you and a breathtaking nature. A nice open golf course, very thick rough, lower edges bunkers and some water coming in to play on some holes. (...)
Quinta de Cima Course shows itself as a very competitive golf course with dog-legs to the right and the left and greens well protected by sand hazards and lakes. A stream with dams and permanent flowing water crosses several holes. Since there will be no real estate construction on the site, the Cima Course is indeed a paradise to those golfers who love to be always in contact with nature.|In one of the Driving Ranges, with generous dimensions and built in the south/north direction, when hitting from the northern tees, one may appreciate a magnificent view of the mountains as well as of the Ocean. But from any part of the colfourse, both the sea and the Algarvean mountains are a delight to anyones eyes. On the other Driving Range, designed to practice with irons, there is the Robinson Golf Academy. (...)
